VAR is offering some great opportunities for members to get to know their lawmakers during the 2020 legislative session. These events give you a chance to share your ideas and concerns with legislators, and to hear directly from them on the issues they are working on!
VAR’s Dinner at Home series is back by popular demand. We invite you to join us for dinner with our legislators at the VAR office in Montpelier. Each Dinner at Home event will focus on a topic that is important to our REALTOR members (topics to be announced). Join us for a casual dinner and a chance to meet with Vermont’s lawmakers to talk about issues important to homeownership and to the real estate industry.
March 11 | 5-7pm
VAR Office, Montpelier
Vermont lawmakers are working to make broad changes to Vermont’s Act 250, a 1970 law that aims to promote economic development in a way that protects the state’s rural character and natural resources. Earlier this month, the House Committee on Natural Resources approved a major overhaul to the law.
On March 11, the Vermont Association of Realtors® (VAR) will host the second in its 2020 Dinner at Home series, which gives VAR members an opportunity to meet with lawmakers for casual conversation and dinner. The March 11 event will feature a conversation about Act 250 reform. The event is offered at no cost, but registration is required. We hope that you will join us (and bring a colleague) to learn about Act 250 updates and how it will impact home buyers, sellers and homeowners in Vermont.
Please RSVP by March 8
