NAR’s Code of Ethics requires REALTORS® to cooperate with each other in furthering clients’ best interests. The code, adopted in 1913, was one of the first codifications of ethical duties adopted by any business group.

REALTOR® members are required to complete Code of Ethics training every two years. This biennial training helps REALTORS® understand the code and also provides updates on changes to the code that help members deliver the high level of service needed by consumers.

VAR will offer the Code of Ethics training on October 15 in Montpelier. Members are required to complete Code of Ethics training for the current cycle by Dec. 31, 2020.
