First, Matt Difanis will explain NAR’s changes to Article 10-5 of the Code of Ethics prohibits REALTORS® from using harassing speech, hate speech, epithets or slurs based on the protected classes of Article 10. There have been many discussions nationally about these changes. Following that discussion, Leigh Brown will continue the conversation with fair housing issues. Reports of Fair Housing testers and misbehaviors among some Realtors® have caused concerns about the reputation of this profession and how we, as professional Realtors®, can do more in messaging with our sphere marketing to combat the negativity – do a better job – and tell the whole story of what a Realtor® actually does.
