Vermont Short-Term Rental Alliance Opens to Members
As restrictive regulations against vacation rentals are amping up across the state, the Vermont Short-Term Rental Alliance, Inc. (VTSTRA) has announced its transition to a membership organization.
VTSTRA’s mission is to represent and advance the interests of short-term rental operators and vacation rental owners in Vermont, while providing members with the educational, networking, and other resources they need to run responsible and profitable businesses. The VTSTRA membership launch comes at a time when an increasing number of Vermont towns are taking up the issue of regulating short-term rentals and the future of state-level regulations is unknown.
The alliance was established earlier this year when the state legislature introduced bills that would have dramatically impacted owners of vacation homes and short-term rentals without having received adequate input from stakeholders. VTSTRA is the first and only organization dedicated to representing the interests of short-term rental owners in Vermont.
VTSTRA is offering host and affiliate memberships, and is also seeking business sponsors and additional board members.
