United Van Lines released its 45th Annual National Movers Survey on January 3, which indicates that Americans were on the move to lower-density areas to be closer to their families throughout last year. 

The study determined that Vermont is the state with the highest percentage of inbound migration (75%), while New Jersey topped the list of outbound locations
